what would you do?

what would you doAlright, let’s get real here for a minute. There are so many things in life that I choose not to do because I am afraid of failure or afraid of looking stupid, or vulnerable. When I saw this quote a while back, a list of things immediately went through my head of all the things I had not been doing because of this fear and I hadn’t really acknowledged it before; it just was. Does this phenomenon sound familiar to anyone else? What if we all pretend we are incapable of failing for just one small moment everyday, choosing to do one thing in that moment that maybe we thought we couldn’t? I think our strengths would surprise us.

I chose this picture because I remember this day; driving through the canyon and feeling so small, yet inspired to do something bigger than myself. I’ll put this on my list of things to do: “be bigger than yourself; lose all fear”. There we go, it’s that easy. ;) Now I feel accomplished for the day.

What would you attempt to do?

This goes hand in had with something I always try to remind myself which is “Stop caring what people think”. If we truly didn’t care what people thought, we wouldn’t be quite as fearful of failure . . love this post! and love the pic!

What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail? What courage it takes to step up and do something outside your comfort zone. It’s all about attitude. If you think you can do it, you most likely can. Just repeating the thought empowers me. Okay, I’m going to crochet a little lamb for Lindsay’s baby . . . I don’t know how to crochet, but someone will help me, and I WILL NOT FAIL!

Today I am going to do one thing that I wouldn’t ordinarily do because of being insecure, or just plain lazy. I’ll make my orange rolls and take them to the neighbors. I hope THEY don’t fail, but even if they do, I will have won because I did it.
