I am feelin’ this today.

Amidst the giant mess in my soon to be living room and the make-shift bed on the floor, I am so grateful to be where I am and with the person I am here with. It has been a maaaad crazy week, lots of “stress words” were said to eachother, but we finally made it, and we really didnt mean those things. Life is so beautiful, especially is times of change and the unknowing. Remembering both our cars filled to the brim, (seriously if you opened one door, everything would waterfall out), traveling 10 hours with our knees hitting the steering wheel, one dog each sitting on our laps because it is the only available real estate, and sleeping on the floor for just a few nights straight, I think we will look back on the adventure and think “let’s do it again…”

  1. My bf and I had a similar experience 2 years ago. We packed up our lives (including 2 cats) and drove 2 cars from Wisconsin to Florida. We hadn’t seen the house we were renting (or even pictures of it) and had no furniture when we got there. Thankfully, the house was super cute, and there was an IKEA about 30 mins away. :)

We ended up moving back to Wisconsin just year later, but I’m not kidding when I say that we’re seriously considering doing it again! Good luck with everything… it all sounds very exciting!

    • Wow! That is lucky… I feel like things usually work out. Most of the time. And if they don’t then you have a great story. Sometimes you just gotta take a gamble! And then hope there is an IKEA close by. :)

  2. I LOVE this post. My husband and I are currently house hunting, and it might be one of the most stressful things that we have ever done together, while I’m also figure out the right career path for me, and my life just feels so unbalanced. I wouldn’t change it for anything, though, because I know I’m supposed to be in this place right now!

    • I am sure you know this already, but even though your England life has been harder than you initially thought, I’ll bet it’s one of the best experiences you will ever have. I am so jealous of that time you get over there. You grow so much as a person when you are outside of your comfort zone.

From one who saw your cars stuffed with everything but the kitchen sink–I don’t know how you did it, but glad you did . . . .
